Whine and Wine Wednesday

Whine:

I really don't have much to whine about this week.  I just returned home from a fantabulous week on the coast with my family.

Lots of R&R.

Lots of relaxin' on the beach with the family.

Lots of posing in the waves.

A little bit of work getting the beach house ready for a week of fun.

A lot of cranking to help make some delicious homemade banana nut ice cream!
A whole lot of smiles watching my nanny learn the Cupid Shuffle.
Lots of Cheers as we had frozen drinks by the ocean.

One happy dad finally enjoying his Father's Day gift of Mexican Shrimp Cocktail and Margaritas.
Four mornings of Pilates with my amazing cousin Megan as our instructor.
Lots of fun as some of the ladies headed out for cruisin' on the beach in the golf cart.

Wine:

There was plenty of WINE...and the breeze off the water was so cool I had to wrap myself in a towel to stay warm!  Perfect!
Now I'm off to enjoy some FOOD and WINE with the hubby and kids to put a perfect ending to my vacation week!

What's your whine and wine of the week?

  6. I'll whine about the non-stop rain in Orlando this week, though it's certainly cooled off our runs!

No wine, but I did try a Drifter Pale Ale last night for the first time and it was delicious!

  7. Yes Mr Cathey did drink the 1985 Fonseca Vintage Port... but he let Peter and I have some too. Mmmmmmm.... vintage port... how can someone not like vintage port? Answer me Angie, dammit.

  8. That looks like a fabulous vacay! Gosh, over here if we go to the coast we don't bother bringing any swimwear. A jacket and shorts is usually sufficient!

My whine is that I was in Seattle eating a yummy lunch on the pier after the half marathon, but I had such a terrible race hangover I couldn't even eat. $16+ in food all wasted. :( Bummer. At that moment my wine was a yummy, cold Pepsi that I did manage to drink!
