Snow Runner

I did something today that was on my bucket list.

Run in the snow!
We have been iced in for going on four days now.  I have done a yoga dvd.  Jillian Michaels about killed me with her workout.  I did finally get out of the house yesterday and slow walked about a mile.

However, when I woke up this morning and saw this...

The kids saw the snow and wanted to build snowmen.  I saw the snow and wanted to get my run on!
I talked to my parents.  They said don't do it.  I told Doug my plan, he suggested I not.  Being the rebel I am, I bundled up and headed out!

Apparently I was the first person out this morning.  My view from the front door.  I can't see where my yard ends and the road begins.

It was actually great fun!  I just had to stay in the fluffy powder to keep from slipping on the hidden ice underneath.

And I'm off!

I only did about two miles.  It was slow, but it was great. I needed to get out of the house. I needed to get my run on.

 The I decided to celebrate...

With a snow angel

Is it normal to make your son take his gloves off in the below freezing temps to take pics of his mom for her blog?

The kids are having fun in the snow now.

This has been fun  However, I am now ready for spring.  It is Texas.  Hopefully we will be warm by next week.  It's kind of hard to believe, but we were in the 70's last week.

Happy Friday (that is what day it is, right?)!
