Whine and Wine Wednesday

Workout:  BUTT SUCKING HORRIBLE.  See whine below. (Side Note: Don't google image search butt sucking horrible.  Just believe me.  Don't try it!)

I'm pretty sure I had this look on my face the entire run.
We had not worked out since our 10K on Saturday.  Randee and her entire family have had a nasty stomach bug full of puke, the runs and fever.  Stay away from me!

I am headed out of town on Thursday (see wine below for more details) and we wanted to get two good workouts in before I left.  Our goal was a one mile warm up, four miles at 9:45 pace and then a cool down.  On our warm up lap I new something was not right.  I just felt like poo and was having trouble holding a conversation at our 11 minute warm up pace.  Normally I never shut up.

My splits:

Mile 1 -  11:11 (warm up)
Mile 2 - 9:53
Mile 3 - 10:17
Mile 4 - 10:14
Mile 5 - 10:13
Half mile cool down walk

I've kind of felt like this kid all day.  My body has been sore.  Like I ran really hard this morning.  What the hell is up with that?

Now for the wine...

Nobody freak out, but I don't think I will have any wine tonight.  I know.  I know.  I'm letting down the millions of followers who can't wait to see what fantastic wine I drink each Wednesday.

Don't fret too much.  We are heading out of town for a double date couples weekend, and believe me there will be plenty of wine drinking.

So there might not be a wine Wednesday.  But I promise you there will be a Wine Thursday.  A Wine Friday.  A Wine Saturday.  After that we will have to dry out to be ready to return to reality.

  1. 3 mile easy run, no complaints this week, and NO! No I will NOT be drinking tonight! I think I might puke just because you mentioned drinking.

    And I can imagine "butt sucking horrible" might return some sketchy images.
