Randee Went Into Labor!

Marathon Training Week 8 - Day 7

My favorite day of the week...rest day!  I'm kicking butt and taking names at resting.  This is one workout I never miss!  I'm icing my knees again.  I don't have time for any knee injuries.  Hoping that by Tuesday's run they will be good as new.

Yesterday afternoon, and well into the evening, Randee and I spent some quality time poolside.

We were rockin' our matching grocery store sun hats.  We thought we were all that and a bag of chips.
We grilled steak, sipped wine and watched the kids swim.

Randee trying to convince the camera she is cute and sweet.  Look at my face in the background.  I'm not buying it.  And what was Randee gonna do with that left hand?  Knock me out of my chair?  Steal my super cute red hat?
We sent the kids inside to watch movies and eat popcorn.

Little Brittany crashed our party.  What the heck happened to my face?  Randee and I were having trouble squeezing together with our big ol' hats!
The lower the sun went....the crazier things got.  Randee kept us greatly entertained.

Randee was in the middle of her Playboy photo shoot and apparently went into labor.
It just went down hill from there.

Today has been our lazy rest day.  I read the August Runner's World cover to cover.  Since no one has been able to find me that dang red skirt for Chicago, we were thinking of doing something like this....

Both of us in this RunningSkirts skirt.
And then do our compression socks...mine are lime green & hers are hot pink.....with solid color shirts to match our socks.
I REALLY want to put my name on my skirt so everyone will cheer for me.  I'm thinking I will need all the support I can get to finish 26.2!

Yoga tomorrow morning and then a pool party tomorrow afternoon.  We went to the Mexican meat market and got steak and chicken fajita meat. It's gonna be SO good!

What are your plans for the 4th of July?

What the heck do you think Randee was doing in the that picture with her eyes rolled back in her head?

Have you worn a RunningSkirts skirt before?  Thoughts?

  1. Haha, I love all your photo shoots! I haven't even tried on a running skirt before, but I'm going to jump on the bandwagon soon. They're just so awesome looking! Love the planned outfits for Chicago!

  2. love, love, love my running skirts!! I prefer the kind with the shorts underneath not the briefs but thats only because I have some thigh chub.

    Happy 4th!

  3. I didn't like my running skirts dot com skirt! I am a size 10/12 and bought their equivalent - it was so tight my face turned blue. I exchanged for the next (big mama) size and the briefs underneath were made wrong and fit like a thong. I ended up saying to hell with it and returning them for an Athleta skirt that I love!

  4. Ask me if I wear shorts. No. Skirts only.
