We're Freakin' Famous!

Workout:  Yogilates.  Well, kinda.  My back is still jacked so my form was all to hell.  But I tried.

I'm pretty sure that Oprah will be calling anytime now.  SkinnyRunner would be the running world blog queen.  We were featured as her Cat Lady Blog of the day.  Oh yeah.  Check out all the awesome things she I wrote about us.

Major user error was causing me to not be able to print screen.  So being the genius I am, I took a picture of the screen with my iPhone.  Hence the reason for the crappy quality.
I got this text from Talia and her sexy legs while I was at work.

Focus on today's conversation.  Not us talking about her sexy chicken legs.
Anywho, I was on my way out the door to get my super tight hammies rubbed.

Ahh, the adorable Cynthia and her magic hands.
I really think we should have a girls night out at Cynthia's shop.  Massages and facials for everyone.  Heck, we could even get drunk and all do Brazilian bikini waxes on each other!
My rub down was marvelous.  The hammies are still tight, but do feel better.

Then it was off to pick up the little people from school.

All this construction was messing with my relaxation.
The kids were in great moods.

I'm sure she was saying "Mom you're super cool."
Trent thought it was Christmas when he got to the front door and found this....

The new Nerds book.
He keeps trying to read the book to me out loud.  "Mom this is seriously the best book ever."  Um, I'm sure it is.  But your mom is kinda famous now and has a very important blog post to write.

Blogging snack of champions.  Nut Thins.  Havarti cheese.  Broccoli.  Tomatoes.  Sausage.  Hummus.  Riesling.
I really did eat more then one cheery tomato and one spear of broccoli.  I thought I was starving to death and sucked down half the plate before I stopped to take a picture.  That was also a new container of hummus.  Don't judge.  It's normal to eat one entire container a night.

What the hell ever happed to Randee you ask?

She is at home bitchin' about something I'm sure.
I called to tell her we were famous.  She has even agreed to make a guest appearance on the blog again sometime soon.  I refuse to let her quit running.  She will run with me.  And she will like it.

That's all I got for today.  Tune in tomorrow for Whine and Wine Wednesday.  I got tons to whine about.  Oh, and of course there will be wine!  The purple section is stocked and ready to go.  I think a good night of foam rolling and sippin' wine sounds fun.

Happy Tuesday!

Busy Fun Weekend

Busy, busy race weekend!

Friday evening was Audrie's 9th birthday party.

Six 9-year old goofy, giggly girls.

We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  We had a reservation, but it still took forever.  I think we were there about 2.5 hours.

All of the girls BUT Audrie stood in their chairs to dance like chickens to the birthday song.
It's hard to believe, but I was shy in groups when I was Audrie's age also.  She is a wild woman at home.  But very quiet and easily embarrassed in public.  Even with her friends.

Gloria was nice enough to help me chaperone the girls.

What's up with my eyes?
We stayed the night at the Embassy Suites.  We had a super sweet suite.  Two bedrooms, two baths, a living/kitchen area and an office.  Perfect!  Gloria and I locked ourselves in one room to watch a movie and sip on wine.  The girls had two tv's and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy themselves.

They had an indoor heated pool so the girls got to swim.
Gift opening pajama party.
Excellent hot breakfast the next morning.  The girls went back for more about ten times each.
Fun had by all.
On Saturday afternoon we hit the Rock 'n' Roll Half expo.

Great expo!  Check out the race review for more pics and details!
Saturday night Gloria hosted a pasta party for her husband's birthday.  Since several of us were running the next day this was a fantastic idea.  Sadly I did not take any pictures.  Bummer.  Believe me, we definitely did some carb loading.

Doug and I headed home early to get ready for race day and were in bed by 9pm!

Stay tuned for the full race report for my first Rock 'n' Roll event.  I loved it!

Check out Skinny Runner's blog here for a super, fantastic giveaway worth over $400!

How was your weekend?  Any races or slumber parties?

Oh My! Monday

Workout:  Yogilates.  Alone.  I don't like working out alone.  It's a weird training schedule week due to our half marathon being on Sunday.  Randee and I both thought we were meeting at our own house.  Therefore, at 4:45am when we should have been meeting we texted each other to see where in the heck the other was.  So I was brave and did Yogilates alone.  In the dark.  Sad face.

Welcome to the first installment of Oh My! Monday.  I got this super duper idea from another blog.  I will highlight a few blogs that I was lovin' this past week.  I have no idea why I call it Oh My! Monday.  I just like it.  And it is my blog.  So there.  Check them out and perhaps you will find yet another blog to take time away from your family, house cleaning or working.

Let's start with Michelle at Crazy Running Legs.  She is the one who gave me this wonderful blog idea.  I loved her blog "What Was Different?" about her PR and first sub 2 half marathon.

I'm a huge Skinny Runner fan.  I especially loved this post "My Kinda Taper" because there is a picture of me!  Who doesn't love seeing pictures of me?  Oh that's right, everyone but me.  Oh well, go look anyway!  It really is a fun blog!

Paula at Eat Watch Run was cracking me up with her post "Things I Pose With."  She shares my love of self portraits with obscure things.  Look close, you might recognize Michelle!

Laura from I'd Rather Sit on the Couch wrote "The Bay to Breakers Breakup" after finding out the race was sold out.  Bummer!  Her and I share our love for the couch.

I loved Sherry at Life, From My Perspective's post title.  "My Parent's Get High."  Now who wouldn't want to read about that?

SUAR or Shut Up and Run is a blog that will keep you laughing out loud.  There is a lot of truth in her post "10 Ways I Break the Rules."  I promise she will mention passing gas or pooping at least once in every post. UPDATE:  SUAR has an awesome giveaway going on!  Enter for a chance to win here.

There ya go.  That should keep you reading long enough for me to get home and pour myself a glass of wine.  It is Monday after all.

Happy Reading!

What blogs are you following that I need to check out?  What makes a good, entertaining blog?
