Three Thrills Thursday

Marathon Training Week 14 - Day 4

We have been off schedule all week.  My mojo flew out the window again.  Hoping it will return before my 18 miles on Sunday!  We both needed to stretch REALLY bad, so we decided on Yogilates.

I thought I was doing good with my camel pose (thanks JunieB)......
....until I saw this. I'm not nearly as cool as I thought I was! (source)
Randee was imitating a talking tree this morning.
I see the resemblance, don't you? (source)
I was about to type, "let's get to the thrills," but this post has already been seriously thrilling.  So instead....let's continue the thrills.....

Thrill 1:

I really think my son looks a lot like me.

What do you think?  Don't mind his lazy eye.  It's my fault for making him take off his glasses!
Just because I know this will make your life complete...here are some more pictures of me as a youngster.

It's quite possible that I have always been a bit bitchy....

.....and constipated.....

....and hands on hip girl.
Apparently I've been "ME" for a long time!

Thrill 2:

My long time friend Danielle has been on my mind due to the sudden death of her father this week.  This is by no means a thrill.  It's extremely sad and has me reminiscing.  Her father passed away on my son's 11th birthday.  This date will be etched in my memory forever.  That very same morning I was going through old photos and texted her a few of when we were younger.  Friends since 5th grade, we can always find something to talk about.  Lots of memories.  Lots of good times.  A few heartaches.  Babies.  Weddings.  Funerals.  Through it all we have remained friends.  My heart aches for her and her family.  I love all of them so much.  They were all a huge part of my childhood.

The thrilling part is this picture I found...

I'm actually quite surprised the photographer was able to get both of our heads full of hair in the same photo.  Quite impressive.
This was us on a girl's trip this past spring. A lot flatter hair...and for me....also a flatter chest! (*sigh*)
Thrill 3:

While looking through those old photos, I found a few great ones of my little brother.

Look at this picture closely.  I'm holding his pacifier in my right hand.  He is screaming.  I have a very evil grin on my face.  I'm thinking I got a lot of satisfaction out of this scenario.
What the heck is this?  Pasty white, lanky boy, beach towel super hero?  Alecia over at Tin Can Treader gets to claim this hunk a' burning love all to herself.
and just because I want to use this picture....

The lady who brought that hunk a' burning love into this world....my sexy mama!  What creeps me out about this picture is the ginormous picture of my dad behind her.  It appears that he is steering at her butt.
You didn't think you were gonna get all these thrills for free did ya?  The cost to you...

You MUST mosey over to facebook and like our new The Bitchy Runners page.  Go on now.  Don't make me swat you with my broom. (Did your granny ever do that to make you go outside? Mine did.)

Have a Thrilling Thursday!
